Most of these examples were shot to assess fine detail rendition over the frame.
These examples shot using camera auto exposure, which degraded image quality (noise) by under-exposing with the “correct” exposure. The Olympus E-M5 often needs ETTR (see DAP) of +0.7 to +2.0 stop exposure compensation to reduce the noise levels seen here. These images could probably have taken +1.5 stops.
