Dual Aperture Series: Kolob Canyons Cliffs, Post-Snowstorm
This pair of aperture series looks at performance from f/1.2 through f/5.6. My expectation is for at least two things in a 45mm f/1.2 lens for M4/3 (or any format):
- Symmetric sharpness across the field; the lens will almost certainly be sharpest in the central area and less sharp in peripheral areas, but I expect to see similar sharpness in the outer zones on left and right.
- For a high performance lens, peak performance (or very nearly so), 3 stops down, e.g., f/3.2 for the 45/1.2. But performance should be very strong by 2 stops down e.g., f/2.4. If the lens requires f/4 or f/5.6, this is unacceptable.
Includes up to full-resolution images from f/1.2 through f/5.6.
