The about $2299 Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM is an all-new optical design for the Canon EOS R mirrorless system.

At about 1.8 lb = 840g, the 15-35/2.8 is moderately heavy and even a little heavier than the 790g Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III but it also has image stabilization unless any of its DSLR cousins. The image stabilization works in conjunction with the IBIS of the Canon EOS R5 for up to 8 stops of stabilization, according to Canon.
